Request for California TVIs to take a Survey
January 29, 2013
Hello Educational Vision Professionals,
My name is Ting Siu, and I am a TVI in the Bay area as well as a doctoral student at UC Berkeley and SFSU. Along with another doctoral student, Val Morash, we are interested in what TVIs need to support their use of assistive technology, and what supports are lacking that discourage use of assistive technology.
Linked at the bottom of this announcement is a survey on TVIs’ opinions regarding the use of assistive technology with students who are visually impaired. Information from this survey will be applied to develop more appropriate supports for TVIs. Please help us make your voice and opinions heard! We are equally interested in hearing from teachers who do and do not use assistive technology. Please encourage any TVIs you know to take this survey, even if they do not use assistive technology with students.
The survey takes less than 30 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous.
You are eligible to take the survey if you are a TVI in California who is currently providing educational vision services to at least one student who is accessing some level of an academic program.
