  • focused technical assistance using the Zoom meeting platform for basic issues 
  • onsite comprehensive technical assistance for educational teams (including family members)
  • determined by coordinated intake process
  • based on individual needs
  • provided in person and/or using the Zoom meeting platform
URGENT ON-SITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Provided in the cases of:
  • sudden and significant decrease in hearing and/or vision
  • significant and unexplainable changes in behavior
  • a newly identified child who is not yet receiving any local educational or support services

 

NETWORK OF FAMILY SUPPORT PROVIDERS

  • support provided in collaboration with local/regional family support agencies by volunteers of the CDBS Network of Family Support Providers
  • family-to-family support provided by telephone and/or email
  • training on deafblindness provided to state funded Family Resource Centers (FRCs) and Family Empowerment Centers (FECs), and federally funded Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRCs)
