The conference theme is “Inclusion For a Life of Opportunities.” The plenary and workshops will be on: 1. Inclusive Education 2. Assistive Technology 3. Pediatric Rehabilitation 4. Neurological/Cortical etiologies 5. - United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (UNCRPD) 6. Congenital Deafblind Adults/Transition 7. Changing Population 8. Syndromes 9. The Elderly.

I am very fortunate to attend this conference with the support of Perkins International and California Deaf-Blind Services. I’ll be presenting a workshop on  “Inclusion as a Continuum of Possibilities for Students Who Are Deablind.”

Many colleagues from Latin America will be there presenting on the wonderful work they do and learning from each other. As with all conferences it will a great place to network and revitalize old and new relationships as I consider the deaf-blind field is one large family.

I hope to see you some of you at the conference!
